Francesca Scott is the trainer I never thought I’d find for my dogs. My dogs Sami and Ninja and I have been working with her for several years, and I have seen incredible improvement in that time. Her acute insight into how to communicate better with my dogs has absolutely changed my understanding of them and strengthened our bond, not to mention helped me to work through and guide them past problematic habits and behaviors.
I have worked with different trainers in the past, and I have to say, Francesca is light years better than the others. She has a depth of knowledge into training techniques I have never encountered before, and an incredible ability to improvise new ones tailored specifically to your dog and the particular challenge at hand. She created a new way to channel my pup’s destructive impulses to dig everywhere, for example, and also introduced her to box training, agility training, and a whole host of reliable verbal and gesture commands (come, heel, here, sit, down, beg, stand, roll over, bow, up, under, over, etc.) I look forward to every session and am constantly amazed by how much both my dogs and I learn and grow.
Most importantly, she becomes as emotionally invested in your dog as you are— she learns their language, she communicates with their cues, and she creates a teaching plan just for them.

For the last three years, our rescue has trusted Francesca to work with everyone from our eight-week-old puppies to our adult dogs with serious behavior issues, including reactivity to people. As a rescue committed to fear-free, force-free training, we found Francesca to be an excellent fit. Her methods made training a positive experience for even the most fearful dogs, while still pushing them to grow. Her patience and skill are remarkable — she worked with an extraordinarily fearful beagle mix named Chance, who had never been on a leash and had not left his kennel in almost two years, and not only accomplished both but taught him the joy of living in a home. Francesca has a love for teaching people and dogs, but also a passion for learning from the dogs themselves. It makes her highly adaptable and effective in finding the path forward for each dog. She has been generous with her time, skills, and knowledge and is deeply committed to the success of every dog in our program. We recommend her without reservation to anyone looking for a trainer who combines expertise with genuine compassion.

Rex came to us 4 ½ years ago from a domestic abuse victim who could not continue to care for him. This young lady was beat and broken and in turn so was Rex, she was very forward about the abuse they had both endured and, in those moments, We made a simple promise…to take him, love him and never give up on him.
This has been a tall order and for years we had zero guidance and zero help. Francesca has been nothing short of a miracle worker. I want to make it clear we have tried everything we could think of (to no avail). Francesca made ALL the difference, she teaches you how to lead your dogs, how to become responsible to them (not just responsible for them) and how boundaries make all the difference in their day-to-day activities. Francesca gave us the tools to help Rex in his journey of becoming a more secure, more desensitized, less reactive dog.
She encouraged him to become more self-reliant and more secure, helping us to create an environment that would foster his ability to be the best version of himself. Our dog PLAY’S now! Yes, you read that correctly he PLAY’S, this dog could not play with anything or anyone previously without becoming aggressive. The leaps and bounds that we have moved through are rather difficult to encompass in any form of writing but suffice to say we are FOREVER grateful for Francesca and the tools and knowledge she has imparted upon us. Thank you Francesca, you really have changed our lives in ways you might never fully understand.
Sincerely,
The Kaila/ Kaela’s

Five Stars Aren’t Enough
When I first brought my 8-month-old intact male Australian Cattle Dog to Francesca, he was full of drive, energy, and challenging behaviors that I didn’t know how to manage. I was looking for help to curb some of his instincts and build a foundation of obedience, and what I found in Francesca was far more than a dog trainer — she’s a true behavioral expert and an incredible teacher.
Francesca didn’t just help me teach commands — she taught me how to enforce them with consistency and fairness, and how to read my dog’s body language so I could predict his actions before they happened. This has been especially helpful in situations involving other dogs or high-stress environments.
What really set her apart was her insight into my dog’s instinctual behaviors — the very traits he was bred for. Rather than suppressing those behaviors, Francesca helped me understand how to channel them productively, showing me that managing drive isn’t about correction, it’s about giving it purpose. That’s when she introduced us to livestock work — and everything changed. My dog finally had an outlet that matched his instincts, and it transformed not only his behavior, but our relationship.
Now, at one year old, he’s a different dog. Balanced, obedient, thoughtful, and fulfilled. I truly cannot express how grateful I am for Francesca’s guidance. She is professional, deeply knowledgeable, and exceptionally effective. I’m beyond happy I went to her — it’s been a game-changer for both me and my dog.

It all begins with an idea.
I highly recommend Francesca as a dog trainer and boarder. Our family has been working with Francesca for about three months. We contacted Francesca for training due to concerns with our 7 month old puppy Sora lacking confidence, being afraid of going outside or for walks, and fearing my partner in our home. Through personalized training sessions with Francesca, Sora has gained remarkable confidence over the past three months, we are making puppy friends, she loves my partner, and we can go for short walks. More importantly, I feel confident in our bond because Sora has become a happier more confident pup through the skills we have learned training with Francesca. As a fur mom who has fear because of prior experience with a dog attack, I was extremely worried I would add to Sora's fear if we didn't find an experienced and knowledgeable trainer to help me as much as Sora in gaining confidence to go out into the world. Francesca, I cannot thank you enough for the continued amazing work you do with Sora and our family.
