Specialty dog training services in the SF Bay Area, CA.
What We Train
-
We strengthen the bond between you and your dog to promote lasting attention, responsiveness, and teamwork. We prioritize building the kind of engagement that is meaningful and lasts a lifetime.
-
Help your dog overcome fears and build trust through structured, confidence-boosting activities.
It all starts with reconfiguring what the dogs’ day to day home life is like. It varies from dog to dog, not all dogs learn the same, respond the same or feel the same. But the home environment is where training starts.
Structure + Predictability + Black and White Communication = Safety
-
Teach your dog to navigate the world calmly by introducing them to new people, dogs, and environments in a safe, guided way.
Socialization is NOT “my dog met a bunch of dogs when they were a puppy”.
HOW your dog met these dogs
The emotional state your dog was in when they met these dogs / people/ places.
Did you use food reinforcement? (A primary reinforcer).
Were they forced to be held by a stranger?
Did you hold them to your chest tight while they were being pet by a child against their will?
All of these things matter and if not done diligently or correctly there is a high chance you will end up with a poorly socialized dog.
-
Personalized training sessions tailored to your dog’s needs and your specific goals.

Bloodline K9’s Group Classes focus on one thing. Neutrality. We don’t promise you a dog that wants to play and be social with people. We aim for being neutral around most stimulus while maintaining engagement with their handler, and keeping a relaxed expression.
The trainer will help you understand what kind of socializing your dog is capable of, because socialization is a spectrum.
We certainly do not promote on leash greetings, nor do we practice them.
We give the dogs tools to be able to tolerate an accidental 5 second leash interaction and remain under threshold.
We focus on HANDLER confidence, breath work (YES BREATHING, you would be surprised how many humans tense up, heart rate spikes, all logical thought out the window) simply from walking past a dog or seeing one in the distance.
All of that stress travels down the leash and right to your dogs nervous system. A lot of our training is correcting the humans mindset while staying present with their dog.
:)
-
We take your dog on real-world outings to reinforce training and provide a day full of mental stimulation, proper socialization, physical exercise and potty breaks.
This service has to be offered by the trainer, it is not a selective option.
-
Start your puppy off right with early socialization, basic commands, and foundation skills.
-
Playgroups tailored to your dogs social needs for healthy confidence building, specifically geared toward other dogs. This option will not be suitable for all dogs. This is a placement by the trainer.
-
If you are out of state, out of town, or the dog is too unpredictable to safely have a trainer start off in their territory, I offer zoom sessions.
Meet Francesca - Founder
Francesca’s journey as an intuitive canine behavior specialist began when she “foster-failed” her feral college puppy, Gypsy. What started as a rescue quickly became a lifelong mission. Drawing on her background in psychology, Francesca worked tirelessly to understand and help Gypsy overcome anxiety, fear reactivity, and aggression—an experience that sparked her passion for canine behavior and training.
Over the past 11 years, Francesca has trained, observed, and cared for hundreds of dogs. Developing a unique approach that blends science, experience, and compassion. She doesn’t believe in one-size-fits-all methods. Instead, she tailors her training to each dog, focusing on humane, effective techniques that work in the real world.
Francesca has built curriculums going up to 4 Levels of group classes, launched and led those group classes, puppy programs, and specialized socialization groups in facilities across California and Arizona. She’s developed successful programs for anxious, reactive, and “sensitive” dogs, as well as advanced obedience for service animals, fear aggression rehabilitation, and has some experience in personal protection K9 training.
At Bloodline K9, Francesca’s philosophy is simple: “It doesn’t matter how you get there, as long as it’s humane.”
Her programs build trust, safety, and confidence through predictability, structure, and balanced pack interactions. Dogs are never forced to suppress natural behaviors—instead, they’re guided toward healthy outlets for their instincts.
Francesca believes dogs are more than pets—they’re partners, healers, and family. Her mission is to help people and dogs live healthier, happier, more connected lives while honoring the primal bond that unites them.
